It was my pleasure to work with ARRM once again, this time to capture photographs at their annual conference.
The ARRM Annual Conference is a spectacular two-day event loaded with education, networking, innovative ideas and practical solutions designed to drive breakthrough thinking and change. More than 800 people attend, including mid- and executive-level provider management, direct support professionals (DSPs), and individuals from related industries.
The theme of this year’s conference is “When the Stakes Are High, Go All In!”. During uncertain times it can be a natural instinct to pull back, to wait and see how things are going to shake out. But the stakes are too high right now for community-based service providers to wait and see.
In many ways, the future of services and supports for people with disabilities is on the line. Not only are providers a pillar of our system in Minnesota, over the past 40+ years the private community-based service industry has played a leading role in shaping the progress of how services are delivered, to continually provide greater options for people to live independently and achieve their goals.
Now more than ever, we need to look at how each of us can go "all in" to continue to support and expand opportunity for the people we work with.
